Clone CD and DVD's - Club CDFreaks

Can CloneCD copy dvd's? I know that DVD drives are different from regular CD drives, but does the hardware of a CD drive have the ability to read DVD data so that Clone CD could copy it and then burn it with a CD-Burner? Or could CloneCd be used with a DVD Drive to copy DVD's?

What I'm getting at is the CSS encryption on a DVD wouldn't matter if Clone CD can make a 1:1 copy. Just curious.

The encryption is not the problem & you don't want a 1:1 for DVD anyway; the problem is with the eight to sixteen modulation (ESM) required rather than the EFM.

You can rip a DVD to HDD & go from there - look in the DVD Forum
