clone cd and clone dvd

i read with regret that clone cd will no longer be produced (by elby at least), but then again that clone dvd will.

my question is since clone cd and dvd both copy discs, how is one legal and one illegal?

even decrypting a dvd is illegal much less copying it!

anyone?

thanks!

simple , CloneDVD does not decrypt , it resamples DVD's to a burnable size.

Resampling is changing though. I too am confused by the legality issues. Wouldn't changing original content be illegal? I mean when backing up games, cracks, patches...etc... are all illegal because they change original content. How is this not the same when it comes to DVD's?
