backups of games - unreadable - Club CDFreaks

hi there - we've made backups of our OWN games using nero 6 and alcohol 120% - they play fine off alcohols 120% virtual drive. When we insert the burnt cd our samsung 308b reader won't read the cd. However Clone cd WILL read the cd which shows the data has copied correctly. Is our reader broken, (it reads other disks ) are we doing something obvious wrong, do we need a better reader.......if so which one?
