Converting from WAV to MP3 to put onto MP3 Player

Hi Folks

Glad to join the club, the forum has been helful for me already! Apologies if this has been already covered, here goes:
I have a new MP3 player ( Philips Micro audio jukebox) and want to convert my cd collection (WAV) files onto harddrive in MP3 format ( retaining track titles) then transferring to MP3 Player retaining track titles.
I am using nero 5.9.

Any pointer would be a great help

Regards

If they're on CD still, use Exactaudiocopy (EAC).
With freedb link you can get CD track info from the net and use it in your ID tags. With LAME encoder you get the best MP3 quality you can have...

There are several previous topics on this subject.

Hi Folks

Thats for theadvise so far.The EAC program looks good to go BUT this problem is for a friend who has Nero already installed onto his machine and I WOULD BE MUCH EASIER for him to use NERO to solve this problem.

Thanks

you drop the wave file son it...and you will get mp3's..which you can burn as mp3-disk in nero

You're best off with EAC and LAME as Da_Taxman mentioned.

EAC is cardware (if you like it, the author would like to receive a postcard in return) other than it is free of charge and the best you can get...what more do you want)

Hi Folks
Thanks once more for the feedback.I will
recommend to my friend to download and use EAC.Nero doesn't appear to cover this issue.
