Imgburn and Vista 64 bit platform

I did some testing around today and notice that there isn't an anydvd warning issue with Imgburn with AnyDVD running like one would with a XP system and thought I would point this out and see if this is normal or do you need to work some sort of code within the program to show that again under vista 64 bit? Below are the image shots taken with anydvd running.

Re: Imgburn and Vista 64 bit platform

It could be a couple of things...

1. You're not running the app as Admin and the commands are failing because of that.
2. The commands aren't returning all the info an x86 OS returns. I've just read something on MSDN that says x86 programs can't list x64 processes when running under WOW64 and using the functions that ImgBurn currently uses. It then goes on to mention another way of doing it that DOES work.

Either way, I'll try and look into it and see why it might be failing.

Thanks LIGHTNING UK!, I'll mess with the Admin settings today and let you know if that did something different. There is nothing wrong with burning or reading I just noticed this as I was using it over the weekend.

Yes that allows the warning in the info box to show up changing it to run as admin in the properties.

Re: Imgburn and Vista 64 bit platform

I believe Vista users need certain permissions to query process info - especially normal users (or those using UAC) querying admin / service processes.

Re: Imgburn and Vista 64 bit platform

Yes I set it to run as admin now and everything is showing as it needs. Other vista users to still see the anydvd warning when you open Imgburn with anydvd running right click the icon select properties advance the tick run as admin and do the same in the compatibility tab as well.
