Re: ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 Released!

Your other programs probably used the flac.exe program to decode stuff then. ImgBurn uses DirectShow (on-the-fly rather than going to a temp file), hence you need DirectShow filters installed - the same things that Windows MediaPlayer uses to play your files.

I will probably work on the write offset for the next version, even though it's a bit OTT really when you consider that you're talking about a fraction of a second (a fraction of a sector even, which is 1/75 of a second itself!)

Hi, may I ask, where can I enable OPC again in 2.4.1.0 if I want to use it? I googled and I also found a feature called "clear OPC history". Where can I find all this? When I go to the advanced tab there are BenQ, PLEXTOR or SAMSUNG tabs, but there's no Optiarc or SONY NEC tab.

Re: ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 Released!

Am I bind or WHAT!

Thanks a zillion chef!

Just short, a more general issue: I think you remember that I come from the PLEXTOR world and I don't know this exactly, sorry I have to ask this. Is there two different power calibration technologies called OPC and Active OPC? Or is there just one and OPC is what NEC calls Active OPC? Is naming power calibration OPC and/or Active OPC more general practice or an NEC thing. I wonder because I thought it's a specific power calibration technology by NEC and it's on a general tab in IMGBurn.

P.S.: And where is "Clear OPC history"? I don't have an Optiarc/NEC tab, where others have "clear opc history" as far as I understood it. Only BenQ, LITEON, PLEXTOR, SAMSUNG and OEM. Why??

Re: ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 Released!

Uh, there is AOPC, WOPC, .... Some kinds of OPC, any firm will say "ours is the best".
I think the best one is that just works.

"clear opc history" is not related to Liteon maybe?

Re: ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 Released!

Yeah thanks, I see. And you're right. I just looked, in the LITEON tab there's a Clear OPC History line.

Man, am I obsessed with knowing things: So "when I check "Perform OPC Before Write" it handles the OPC for NEC/Optiarc and LITEON and other drives or is this check box for NECs specific OPC only?

Re: ImgBurn v2.4.1.0 Released!

The 'Perform OPC Before Write' checkbox just tells the program to send the 'Send OPC Information' command to the drive before the Write begins.

The 'Send OPC Information' command is part of the MMC specs and isn't specific to any one make of drive.

I always uninstall the old one and then download the new one. Is it
best to download the new one over the top of the old one??

Really appreciate the new version. Thanks Big Time

Don't bother uninstalling. Just download and install over the top.

Thanks blutach, that will make it faster for me in the future, and I won't lose my settings.
