Re: ImgBurn DL layer break?

Get rid of the cheap media and as previously advised get some Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore.

Regards

Re: ImgBurn DL layer break?

Is Verbatim the ONLY media? Any alternative if this make is unavailable?
What about Mitsubishi, Ritek, Ricoh? Any comment?

There's a section of the forum down below this one that argues the merit (or lack of) of most brands...

Is Verbatim the ONLY media that is good and there's no alternative when this is not available? Any experiences with Ritek, Mitsubishi, Ricoh, Sony or any others that could be ok to use?

Re: ImgBurn DL layer break?

There are some cheaper brands that will give you around 85-90% in quality when scanned with Nero, depending on the used burner.

Ask your media questions in the media forum. Better yet, just go read others' opinions of media. IMHO for DL I'm not gonna bother with anything but Verb.

Re: ImgBurn DL layer break?

It's the only media we recommend on the ImgBurn Forum for DL burning.

Blu, Thanks for the link. I just reed guide and its excellent.
I dont do much DL burning, but wife just got Planet Earth, so want to do DL for backups to preserve quality of this series.
While guide is dated Aug, 2007, I presume it will work with latest version of Imgburn??
