how to burn - i have imgburn

Anyone please help!

I am totally new to this, so please bear with me.

I am capturing video from a digital camera (DV panasonic) using Nero 6 and have had no problems.

I have an external dvd writer (LG GSA 2164D) and have installed ImgBurn. The discs I am using are TDK DVD R 16x speed. (from reading prior threads, I see that Verbatim are the recommended discs)

I just can't seem to burn onto the dvd's. I've seen an error come up regarding ISO's, which I know is the recommended format.

Should I be using Nero? Or can I capture straight from ImgBurn? Is there another program I should be using?

Any suggestions?

PS - sorry for the stupid questions.......

Welcome to CDF's:

Just click "Mode" and choose "Build" then click "Mode" and choose "Write" very easy to use.

Try using 12X for a burn speed next time with those TDK 16X blanks.

Re: how to burn - i have imgburn

Thank you for your reply!

I reduced the speed to 12x and this has worked perfectly.

However, the only problem I have now is that it won't play in my dvd player or on the dvd player on my laptop.

Is there any way to get around this? I have played burnt discs in my dvd player before.

Should I perhaps buy another brand of dvd? ie verbatim?
