Hi Locoeng:
I think you are correct Locoeng. There is an association, but not a collaboration. Its just semantics. I still do it the old fashioned way, burn the iso and use Imgburn.

I know this for a fact. No collaboration, no association, no nothing. Alan, you are mistaken.

This should end any discussion about any collusion between LUK and Fengtao.

Re: dvdfab platinum with imgburn

Indeed, there are loads of tools that use ImgBurn for burning. The CLI documentation is out there (in the 'ReadMe.txt' file) and so anyone can implement support for it that wants to - providing they don't try and hide the fact that it's ImgBurn doing the work!

I generally find out about tools using it when you lot do! (and maybe not even then if it's not very 'public')

I am not mistaken, you just dont know what the word associate means then. I said it was all semantics, thats enough.
New: Added full support for ImgBurn, a popular free DVD burning software from LIGHTNING UK!
This now associates the two programs, it does not mean there was any collaboration or collusion.

Alan really that does not associate them.

Re-read LUK!'s post.

Re: dvdfab platinum with imgburn

I really wonder where an author of one program decides to use CLI to call another (and where the 2 authors have never discussed matters with each other) can become an "association" between them.

Is DVD Shrink associated with Ner0? Of course not.

Don't mean to be disrespectful Alan, but I'm with Bob on this - I believe you are mistaken.

To re-iterate: Fengtao has unilaterally decided to provde CLI calling to ImgBurn.

Regards

Yes but in this instance it's the semantics that are the problem.

The word 'association' has so many definitions and connotations that it's confused people as to which one you originally meant.

The most common definition of the word 'association' is '1. an organisation of people with a common purpose and having a formal structure' and I hesitate to speak for others but I think this is probably where the misunderstanding has arisen.

Ironically I think the apparently opposing sides here are all actually agreeing with each other but don't realise it due to lack of clarity of context.

So 'chill out dudes'!

And lets get back to the more happy and enlightening atmosphere we're used to here at CD Freaks.

Okay you win, now can we get on with helping people to use this program. What you believe and what is true are in the semantics of a sentence, now lets drop this now.

Most assuredly. Alan, I come here not just as a CDF/ImgBurn Forum member but also as an ImgBurn BTM to assist.
