1. copy imgburn.exe to: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\

(or where ever your nerocmd.exe file is stored)

2. rename NeroCmd.exe to NeroCmdOld.exe

3. rename imgburn.exe to NeroCmd.exe

4. set nero burning rom in dvdfab write settings

5. set dvdfab target as dvd burner

6. enjoy

this is not a one click solution. however it does save a few steps.

What if you don't have Nero?? Can we just fake it?

I have no idea. You could try it. Just rename your folder to something else temp and put the file in that folder and see. I don't have that file and it would be illegal to post or give it to me.

yeah it works. dvdfab will load imgburn. like using imgburn instead of dvd decrypter with dvdshrink.

i have imgburn set to Build Mode. so when dvdfab opens imgburn, click on browse for a folder, select the video_ts folder, click ok, click write, and when imgburn is done dvdfab says, burn process completed successfully.

this is not a one click solution but is nice if you want to use imgburn. personally i still use vso, but thought it would be nice to share as i know there are die hard imgburn fans out there.

Nice to hear it works , I do have Nero 8 but never use it don't really know why I got it in the first place use DVDFab most of the time

I was very interested to try this as it will allow me to label my compilation Music DVD's.

But I have got a problem. Just before Imgburn starts the burn process I get an error message something about DeviceIOControl denied access.

Can you help? I have 2 identical BenQ 1655 writers.

Look if Troy says it works, well then he must have done something that I apparently missed. But I do not think Fengtao will ever do this without LUKs blessings. In order for a program to internally call up another I think some work has to be done within the program itself. Just my guess, I am not privy to the internal workings of Fab Platnium so I would not try to delete or add anything that might have an adverse effect, again I am not saying this would happen but myself, I would not try it. Its easy enough to rip the disc and save the file and burn it with ImgBurn.

I agree with Alan. Remember this is an undocumented and unsupported feature. That being said, try putting DVDFab in ASPI mode (Common Settings, I/O control). It may not be releasing the SPTI layer fast enough for Img.

thats imgburn locking the drive during the burn so other programs can not access during the burning. however dvdfab is also accessing the drive. so to fix this go in to imgburn, tools, settings, write and uncheck lock volume.

yeah dvdfab is set to open nerocmd, however when nerocmd is opened by dvdfab, imgburn is actually opened. nothing in dvdfab is changed and nothing with imgburn is changed. only change is renaming the imgburn file to nerocmd.

seems its in the clear. if fengtao or LUK feel differently i will immediately change the nerocmdold.exe file back and delete the imgburn file from the nero folder.

again as other have pointed out it is very easy to just close dvdfab and open imgburn. besides where could i possibly go in under a minute?

please disregard the previous instructions as now dvdfab platinum provides support for ImgBurn. two of my favorite programs working together.

I trust that LUK knows what he is doing, but I hate to see his program associated with a ripping application.
