"Only use AnyDVD as a decrypter, You don't need it to rip for seamless etc."

Greengiant quick question. By the above statement do you mean dont use AnyDVD to rip to harddrive?

Correct, Just use read mode to make a entire ISO, Then load ISO into ImgBurn in WRITE mode then when LB box pops up do as i said above. You DO NOT rip anything to HDD.

P.S. When your using ImgBurn in read mode you have to have AnyDVD running or the read will fail because of copy protection. Thats the only reason AnyDVD is running when your making the ISO is to get rid of the copy protection and junk when making the ISO. Once the ISO is made you can shut AnyDVD down if you want as it already did it's thing for you.

Well, that's not entirely accurate though. I mean, creating the ISO requires you to create it on the hard drive, so, in essence it's the same as ripping it to the hard drive. Just more convenient.

The way i took his question was if he needed to rip the dvd to HDD with AnyDVD and i said no. If he has AnyDVD running in backround when he starts ImgBurn and does a READ mode on the DVD it will create a ISO in a dir of his choice. There is no need to create a dir full of files and use build mode to create the ISO. I think i use the term ripping different then you do as when done as i explained above it makes a ISO and thats it and build mode is'nt even needed. Now because the read mode made a ISO of the DVD and put it to HDD if you want to call that ripping i guess thats fine, However done this way there is no folders or files etc. Just a ISO and a layer Break file that gets deleted. hehe if you want to call this ripping thats ok i don't call it that but the program is taking the data and putting it on the HDD for sure. So if someone or anyone wants they can call that ripping because it has to come off the DVD some how.

Re: AnyDVD - With IMGBurn (seamless)

I do agree with that. I don't bother ripping first if I'm doing a DL image. Read mode with AnyDVD running is definitely sufficient.

Yes i agree, I did edit the other post and add on too. But i thought he had the process down to the tee. And you must agree with me the way im telling him to do it BUILD mode is'nt ever considered.

Yea, build mode isn't needed for what he's trying to do. But you MUST delete the MDS file if you want to set the LB.

Thank you for clearing that up.

Do I need to set AnyDVD to remove CSS protection? Under settings I see nothing about CSS protection removal.

Install your AnyDVD and the only thing to change IMO is uncheck AUTOSTART. Any problems just ask. Just remember before you make a ISO start AnyDVD and the little red fox will be in the right hand corner by your time. Then start ImgBurn and read your DVD for a ISO file. Then delete the MDS file and keep the ISO only. Once the ISO is made you can shut down AnyDVD or leave it on. Don't matter. Then go into write mode of ImgBurn and see post #18 and thats all thats too it!.

Are you talking about the "Use CSS Key Archive"? If so I say don't do that.

Because i don't use beta period. And to disable check for a new AnyDVD version means nothing, PPL know when a new version is released soon enuff. If BoSox wants to enable this feature he can and it won't make any difference unless the newer version has bugs. I prefer to load my version when i feel i want to upgrade it, thats all.

The version check doesn't notify you of betas.

Your prob right because i always run it disabled, But again it has no bearing what so ever on the operation of the software. If it did it would be enabled. I update when i want to not when some software vendor wants you too. Even if it gives you a choice to take the upgrade or not i guess thru there server.

Re: AnyDVD - With IMGBurn (seamless)

I think you have a misconception about what it does, but, that's ok. If you're happy with it that's fine. I wasn't telling you to enable it. I was simply responding to your beta comment. Just so you understand what the option does, it ONLY notifies you when a new released version is up on the website for download. It doesn't DO anything. It won't go updating software or even downloading the new version, for that matter. It simply says "hey, version x.x.x.x is out." That's it.

Re: AnyDVD - With IMGBurn (seamless)

As I said, I wasn't trying to convince you to turn it on, just simply inform you of what it does. That's all. But yes, the new versions get posted on here just as fast as they're released. But, the big difference is that on here betas get posted so you have to be careful of what you download if you don't want betas because sometimes they're not clearly marked as such when they get posted. I try to make it clear in the title heading when I post them but even I forget to do that at times.

Yes you are 100% correct, But i did'nt know 100% how the check for a New AnyDVD version worked. But had a idea but just did'nt want it enabled. Thats why the author put a disabled mode for ppl like me. In no way did i take it that you wanted me to enable it as you know as well as i do it does'nt effect the performance of the software. And i get the new non beta versions fast enuff. And yes i see the beta's listed here and for that matter all over the internet. Actually im not really a hard core AnyDVD user more of a DVDfab user but that software is another story, Again thank you for the info.
