Toshiba launches new marketing strategy with HD-DVD Some are claiming it has come too late but then again others say this will help ensure that HD-DVD isn't going anywhere in the near future. I see some disenchanted Blu-Ray standalone owners in the not too distant future who might gladly take an opportunity to get in on a cheaper format where they can purchase and entry line model and still enjoy the latest releases: http://www.i4u.com/article14033.html

Re: Toshiba launches new marketing strategy with HD-DVD Not yet. Anyways as to the first review it's pretty clear that it is the opinion of the writer. I will go ahead and repost with the official release from Toshiba since it has more detailed info.

Re: Toshiba launches new marketing strategy with HD-DVD Thus far it is true, wouldn't be surprised to see things happen elsewhere in the near future though. No complaints out of me if they want to make the hardware cheap enough that it doesn't matter if the format fails.
