Seems like every time that player or disc sales take a 24 hour dip, some folks like to jump up waving their arms and screaming: "HD-DVD is dead!"

Guess it all depends on what you read. This is only one opinion but it says that Warners decision did have an effect on what people are buying, Also says it does not include PS3 or Xbox sales. Click

The thing that gets me is that they included the freebees in the sales figures which doesn't really mean anything other than certain HD sets are selling well. I trust NPD more than the folks who leaked the figures prematurely.
