sites are for Import HD-DVD's?

I've bought some, but they been around $50.00 each.

bah... you hd dvd guys were bitching about expensive blu-ray players and blu-ray movies price. But now looking at the highdefdigest link, hd dvd imports are between 20 and 30 Euros or 2000 Yen and up! With current exchange rate you're paying a good USD30 or more plus shipping to the US.

Oh well...

True, but all of the domestics are significantly cheaper than their Blu-Ray counterparts. Really the imports are more for that odd "gotta have it" title than a place to regularly purchase. Furthermore there are some import titles that haven't been released in high def on either format in north america as of yet, but they are available on HD-DVD from overseas. So once again the "gotta have it" factor comes into play there. The complaints are about the average prices of Blu-Ray titles as compared to the HD-DVD ones. As for the prices you are a bit off on the imports as they run about $30 (with shipping included) for a number of the titles.

I did and the only ones with decent offers are xploited cinema and amazon.de.
