I think you mean HD-DVD, right? Anyways there are the following:

www.amazon.com has paramount and universal catalog titles going for $11.95 shipped. The newer paramount and universal titles run anywhere from $16-$19 shipped. They also currently have the Bourne Trilogy for $30 shipped. The Matrix Trilogy for $42 shipped.

www.deepdiscount.com has catalog paramount titles running for $9.98 shipped and catalog universal titles running for $12.20 shipped (no minimum $25 purchase for free shipping unlike amazon though.)

The Discovery Channel store has some deals going on their documentaries if you are interested in that sort of thing.

Hollywood video/Movie Gallery is clearing out their rentals in HD-DVD and they are $15 each (even for the brand spanking new releases ie American Gangster) and some of them are running the 2 for $20 and others even have the BOGO at $15 (so 2 titles for $15). It kinda depends on the individual store so YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) both for the deals and title availability.

Universal catalog titles seem to have dropped to $9.95 shipped at amazon.

Just picked up the Matrix Trilogy for $40.00. Seems like only Warner titles are dropping in my area so far. Some other WB titles for $17.00 which is still to high IMHO,

Agreed. If they are regular movie titles then I wouldn't touch them until they drop under $15.

That is a great price for a 4+ star rated HD video and I wouldn't expect stock to last long at that price. Of course I picked it up on BD last week. Got a good deal but not as good as this.

Welome to CDF. Not sure if the Discovery version is the same as the BBC version though. Looks like the same content but the picture on the box is different than the one Jesterrace linked.

If the content is the same, then I'm set. Either way though, 25.00 is a pretty good deal, especially since I'll just use mine in my classroom.

IT IS NOT, there is about 50 minutes of footage that has been cut from the series and of course you have Sigorney Weaver narrating (not a big issue for most though). Furthermore the PQ isn't as sharp (I believe it's only 720p or maybe 1080i). Either way the BBC version is definitely better.

Don't know that it is exactly a firesale but CC is supposed to have their HD-DVD titles for 50% off right now. Given their ridiculous prices it doesn't mean much but the $25 titles should run for about $12.50 so if there is one you really want you might get a good deal on it. I am going to look for Superman Returns tomorrow since that is the cheapest I will probably find it for quite a while.
