$25 for a HD PPV movie?

Check this out:

CLICK

These people think we will pay $25 for a PPV movie in HD, just because it is available before the disc is released.

Yes, and it'll either be "watch-once only", or it will be seriously DRM crippled.

ummm for $30 2 parents and a kid could have gone to the theater to see the damn thing when it was new...god i hope no one buys into this...

i can't imagine why anyone would, then again i can't figure out why a lot of people do a lot of things...

Re: $25 for a HD PPV movie?

Not gonna happen here. I'll keep my upconverting players and cheap movies as long as they think they can charge double for a crippled video with better quality.
DVDaudio and SACD never took off like they hoped either, too spendy, lack of content, and totally crippled DRM wise.

I haven't been to the theater in years, I don't really plan on going back. For me personally, its just better to sit in the comfort of my own home and eat some food I didn't pay out the nose for...not to mention kids, punks, etc mucking it up for the rest of us by being loud, cell phones, etc. Of course its easier to make that choice with our new 50" a10 sony screen and 5.1 surround.

Then again I wouldn't pay $30 for a watch once movie anymore. For $30 I expect a hard copy.

Nice indeed! I don't even have a room where I could get far enough back to view 50".
