| HDTV answers for the common man! If you'd like a non-technical view of which of the three options to purchase, read this. I found it quite illuminating and it certainly put the technology in the easiest-to-understand terms I've found yet. It's something that can save you a fair deal of research and let you at least hit the ground running.

| Re: HDTV answers for the common man! 3 options? I think there are more and the already existent choices are geting improved anytime (soon). Even the (IMO) shrubby Plasma tech got improved to get into the ring with LCD again, and the oldish TV also has HDTV compliant versions available now - for better prices than LCD and Plasma of course. ![]()

| Re: HDTV answers for the common man! Granted, the source article has several limitations other reactors pointed out, with even Crabbyappleton adding some truly practical advice on channels (since most will be 'standard definition') and how to better evaluate if the unit can handle a 16:9 aspect ratio well.

| Re: HDTV answers for the common man! Perhaps you should consider leaving your comments above as a reaction to the news article? Some people never come into the forums from the main page, so since your observations add to the discussion, I think it might prove helpful for others to see them as a reaction. If you feel comfortable with this, please feel free to do that. ![]()
