Are broadcast flag free HDTV tuners still available , either in PC or Stand Alone Top Boxes?

Which tuners are still free from the broadcast flag?

The Divco Fusiongold 3 is flag free and probably the 5 also. It has been stated that they can sell non flag compliant hardware till the law passes, if ever, then they can sell remaining stock till gone but new units have to comply. First time in years older gear may be worth more then new stuff

The LG 4200a should be free of it too but they have been phased out and dont plan on releasing any more new settop tuner/boxes. I think they don't want the hassle of compliance and most new TV's now have at least OTA HDtuners, some have Qam and cable card too now.

There is no broadcast flag. It was shutdown in court.

Its been killed for the moment, but trust me, they keep trying till they get what they want. It keeps getting talked about as though it's still going in and they keep pushing their agenda. Watch the news and keep after the powers that be to kill it whenever it comes around again.

I bet my RCA DTC-100 is broadcast free cause it pipes in 1080i through component. It was a 1st or 2nd generation HD tuner. You can get them on Ebay for around $100.

hdcp is a reality and with SDTV equipment you will only see SDTV, nothing more.
