Re: Good receiver with HDMI and audio processing under US$1000?

Yo-

Well - I have had the Onkyo TX-SR805 for almost two months - and I am very happy to say that it just keeps getting better as the speakers 'adjust' to the new power, etc

Have replaced the Toshiba HD-A3 with the A35 flagship HD-DVD player - and they play nice together and the picture and sounds are simply fantastic-

The receiver is still running just slightly warm to the touch when the hand is placed on the top of the unit-eh!!

Yo-

Found an interesting comparison of the Onkyo TX-SR805 and the Denon 3808 CI on Crutchfield - and the Onkyo at less than half the price is more than equal in comparison and has THX Ultra 2 whereas the Denon doesn't-eh
