LTC-48161H in ADS Enclosure Issues

Just wondering if anyone is aware of any issues with having a Lite-On LTC-48161H combo drive in an ADS USB 2.0 enclosure, model USBX-804. I set the drive as master, plugged in the sucker and secured everything in place via the screws and connected the enclosure to my PC. The drive was detected and all, however, it's unusable. I can't access disks while in explorer, can't launch nero, etc. Can anyone provide some assistance please? Thank you.
