I just purchased a INOI DW560U-0000 external enclosure. It is a USB only enclosure. I have an older Dell C600 laptop that I am using. Since it is only usb 1.1, I installed a pcmcia adaptec usb 2.0 card with the nec chipset. It works fine.

My problem is somewhat odd. I first installed an LG GSA-H44L. The LG burned a dvd @ 4X just fine. However, I could not get a CD-R to burn faster than 8X or I would get a coaster.

I took it out and put in an older Liteon LTR-52327S 52x CD-R burner. It burns through even poor CMC Magnetics discs at 48X with no problem!! However, when I scan the disc with Nero dvd-cd speed it's fine, but when I try to run the Disc Quality portion of the program it spins up and then does nothing.

It seems odd that it will burn and I can run everything on nero but it won't do a disc quality scan. I don't know what chipset is in this enclosure. Can this be related to the chipset or just some anomaly in nero?

It's a cd/dvd speed problem try 4.7.7.15 it works now with external enclosures well.
