Choose one which has Firewire and use it instead of USB2. IMO.

Re: Which External Enclosure For Pioneer 110D?

they all have firewire because I do want firewire but I heard some chipsets don't go too well with some burners so I just want to make sure which one I can actually burn at 16x or close to 16x. Also I just updated my 110D to 110 now i dunno does that affect anything.

Re: Which External Enclosure For Pioneer 110D?

The problem is mostly on the USB chipset/driver front.

Whichever one you end up getting, the first thing you should do is update its firmware.

If it works, 16x DVD is no problem, AFAIK.

I bought the Bytecc U2F I will go home and test it tonight. Hopefully it will work good because I also got the U2 and it doesn't burn dvds properly

Re: Which External Enclosure For Pioneer 110D?

OMG I tested the bytecc U2F updated to newest firmware and guess what, I can burn at 16x with both usb and firewire this box I will say is perfect for pioneer dvr 110 I did all the test in Nero CD/DVD Speed. They average at around 12x and can reach up to 16x without problems

Re: Which External Enclosure For Pioneer 110D?

I burned a 3.97 gig image and only used 5 min and 52 sec with USB. Hope I can make it even faster with firewire.
