Any point updating the Bytecc ME-320U2?

I noticed in my travels that Bytecc has a firmware update
(vintage summer of 2005) for the much-maligned (at least
for DVD burners) enclosures based on the ALi M-5621 A1
(TH07) bridge, like the ME-320U2/-340U2. It's at
http://www.byteccusa.com/driver.htm
I'm aware from their advertising that firmware had been
updated over the years to accommodate larger hard drives,
but was wondering if any who had the common aborted DVD
burn errors (like SCSI COMMAND ABORTED) with these cases
were able to fix them by updating the firmware.

I don't think it would hurt anything. Why not update. I would go ahead & do it.
