I have the LG GGW-H20L and I'm wondering if this media is any good. I have had issues with their DVD media in the past. I have done search here and it looks like people have successfully burned this media with this drive.

Any more impressions or on going experiences with this media?

Thanks!

Don't have any Ritek BD-R's and I don't see any listing on mediahelp for them either.

Maybe Zevi has some?

Re: RiData/Ritek BD-R...yes on no?

With an LG drive, I'd stick with Verbatim BD-R...the drives tend to like the good stuff. The Riteks aren't a bad price per disc, but to spend $200 on them...if the pack was smaller, I'd say buy some just to try, then the loss isn't so great if the discs are lemons.

Just my tuppence worth

Zevi and I received two of these discs from Ritek Taiwan but I dont think Zevi has the GGW-H20 drive.

I will burn a ripped Blu-ray movie to one now and post some scans when it finishes.

Personally, i'd stick with Verbs as well. The little bit of extra dough is worth the warm, cuddly feeling i'd get from knowing i'm not going to have a problem with the discs.

Re: RiData/Ritek BD-R...yes on no?

Thank you very much for the replies and thank you very much Kipper for scans.

I'm going to pick up some singles of the media and see how it goes before investing in 25 pack. Hopefully the singles are the same media...

I guess if I can get the Verbatim ones for $9.48 that the the RiTek ones are only $1.48 cheaper per disk (and I do not have to buy 25 at a time).

Re: RiData/Ritek BD-R...yes on no?

You are welcome, I forgot to add that the burned disc plays perfectly in my Sammy 1400 blu-ray player.

I would not have a problem buying the 25pk but with my luck someone will have a better deal on them or a different brand as soon as I bought them. LOL

I have found most Blu-Ray movies are 35 odd Gb, how do you get a backup of your movies on a 25Gb Blu blank??.

The BD-ROMs I have ripped are SL therefore 25GB or less in size. Those can be backed up to BD-R; if backed up to a BD-RE then some of the extras on the disc need to be removed so as to fit the backup on the somewhat smaller size RE disc.

Hope this gives a better picture of the process.

Re: RiData/Ritek BD-R...yes on no?

I'm using the Ritek BD-Rs with my GGW-H20L and haven't had a problem. Imgburn seems to do better with them. Nero can only write 1x to the discs.
