Blu-ray and HD DVD Hardware, Software and Blank Media Discuss, pioneer bdc-2202 any good at International Chat: High Definition forum; what do you guys think of a pioneer bdc-2202? for a blue ray rom..and if i replace my curent burner with this one do i need anything extra on my hard drive to support the new rom reader?

Hi raymond,

I don't have the drive but from what I read it's pretty good.

If you replace your current burner with BDC-2202, you don't need anything else since the bundle includes WinDVD to playback blu-ray movies and Ulead to burn (light version btw). However please check your PC specs whether it meets the minimum system requirements.

It performs very good, even as DVD/CD burner.

actually i dont even want to play it on my pc,just back up to pc then burn to dvd9..is the guide that you posted the best and easiest(tsremux, hdbd split etc....)
