Need Help With HD DVD Player?

Hello,

This might be a stupid question, but I need your help.. I own two
26 inch Lcd HD televisions using upconverters right now. Want to buy
a HD DVD Player.

but some one told me online with a 26 inch display a HD DVD player
would not make much difference, and I should just stick with a
upconverter.

Both my Tv's are rated up to 1080i, so if this is true what is the
point of making a 26 inch HD TV?

Thanks For The Help.....

Re: Need Help With HD DVD Player?

Unless you sit 12" from the screen, a 26" makes differences in resolution pretty difficult to see. That said, the Toshiba HD-DVD players are among the best upscalers that money can buy, and the price is right. BTW, ALL HD monitors upscale video to their native resolution, or downscale as the case may be.

Re: Need Help With HD DVD Player?

I think the difference would not be worth paying for. But in the future, should you buy a 42'-50' TV I would shell out the bucks for a combo HD/BD player otherwise I would stick with what you have.

The A3 firmware "1.3" improved boot and loading times a bit.
