I wonder how hard it would be to enable Blu-Ray bitsetting for the the LG GGW-H20 drives?

Changing BD-R/RE BDMV to BD-ROM?
Not sure if that doable with the current blu-ray standard.

Well, according to this article, the Sony BWU-100A supports blu-ray bitsetting.

BD book type (bitsetting)

Although this feature is not presented in the CD-DVD Speed bitsetting report, Sony BWU-100A supports Blu-ray bitsetting as well, and writes BD-R media with the BD-ROM book type, and BD-R DL media with the BD-ROM DL book type:

Both DISKtypes are reported wrongly.

I'm not sure who would risk patching that for such expensive drives.

I wont be trying it. LOL. Not at 600 for the Sony and 400 for the LG.

The best way would be when LG and others would include that in their firmwares.

Lets hope they will do.
