Still to much! I am not old or retired but I will wait for the things to go down to 200 bucks or so. Sorry I am really not ready to part from my family of drives just yet!

Yeah, we are still use to getting a $40 drives and indeed $400 is too much for many people. Heck the older GGW-H10N was $1200 a few months ago.

It always happen like that.

Especially for "world's first", ie first 6x, first bd/hd support.

I still remember in 2005-2006 I bought PX-716A for $179 and weeks later became $129, in the same time I bought BenQ for $59.

So did you pre-order yet?

This is a GREAT price since I wonder if both formats will survive.

I have been around quite a while and was burned once before because I chose the higher quality BETA fromat from Sony that they later chose to abandon.

This drive (after Christmas it will likely be $299.99) avoids the fear of being left out when one format goes away.

IOf course, the LG dual format player for my TV is still $999.99!

finally i've got my drive,but i can only play a movie when i try to burn a bluray or a DVD i become CRC error.When i try to make an ISO of a DVD hangs my pc i cannot do nothing anymore.I've tried to change sata port
