I have yet to see a picture better than what i get with the components i'm using right now without Blu-Ray and HD DVD.

The retail price for GGW-H20LI is $499 while the GGC-H20LI (BD/HD-DVD reader only) is $399. But it's a huge price drop compares to the older GGW-H10N 4x burner retail price "was" $1200 a couple months ago.

Yup, read about it were coming out in November for €400.
Seen in the last c't issue released 1 week ago.

BTW, what marketing nonsense is that?

No BD DL write support exactly mentioned.

16x is DVD write speed.

it can write BD-R DL and BD-RE DL at 2x

wow, i just realized that 6x BD equal to 216 Mbit/s that almost max SATA2 speed.

I think the most they can do with blu-ray and current sata interface would be 8x, but at 288 Mbit/s thats stretching it a bit.

I saw that price. I was just saying that LG will list this drive $499 MSRP per their July 19th Press Release. So either the MSRP is going down or Bestbuy is selling below MSRP while it's back order.

#1. burn speed 6X but only 2X media in market
#2. I got wrong 2x 25GB Blu-ray BD-R Disc $10.39 ( Micro Center )
( 2X mean is burn speed not a 2 pack
