laptop with HDDVD and Blu-Ray?

I have a G45-AV680 with a HD-DVD and want to burn Blu-Ray to watch on PS3. Can I just go and get a new drive? If so what drive model?

Thanks in advance

oh the current drive model is a SD-L912A

I assume that you have a Toshiba Quosmio G45, NICE
the cheaper alternative is to buy a desktop blu-ray burner and buy an external enclosure. You dont want to touch the blu-ray burner for laptop since it is expensive and you dont want to do it yourself since you dont want to void any warranty. And desktop burner is half the price. So you can enjoy both worlds instead of removing HD-DVD drive out of your laptop

Unlike the ideas I usually come up with, that seems reasonable.

I will look into finding an enclosure, BR drive, and Expresscard to SATA.

Although I will be reading SXS Express cards from a Sony EX1 HD camera and would not mind the option of burning the files straight from the SXS card to the BR disk. hummm...

They do make external laptop drives as well if you want something a little more portable.
