and the requirement to have a Pentium D at 3.2 GHz is unreal ~_~

Pentium D 3.2Ghz is required only for Blu-ray playback and authoring. I guess they wanted to be on the safe side. I tried playing back a protected Blu-ray movie on Pentium4 2.8Ghz with onboard graphic card (VGA) connected to analog monitor (VGA) and it works fine.
