Blu-ray and HD DVD Hardware, Software and Blank Media Discuss, BluRay Backups at International Chat: High Definition forum; I just did my first BluRay back up, and it took forever. I just bought a Light On Sata BluRay player for my PC. I'd prefer to plug it into my spare compure and rip there as it takes so long, but that one doesn't have SATA support.

BluRay Backups

I just did my first BluRay back up, and it took forever. I just bought a Light On Sata BluRay player for my PC. I'd prefer to plug it into my spare compure and rip there as it takes so long, but that one doesn't have SATA support.

Is there a external enclosure for a SATA drive that I can use USB 2.0 with and will that be fast enough? the Lite on is only 4x

Thanks,
McSterls

Re: BluRay Backups

Your best route will be a PCI SATA controller card like this one:
