Firmware update to have the PS3 support DivX and VC-1 codecs.

imkidd57 you forgot to move this.

As I have answered. Have you updated your firmware for the PS3 so that it will support the VC-1 codec.

Re: Blu-Ray/PS3/TS Remux problems... please help

trafacanta, welcome to cdfreaks.

The key to burning Blu-ray in Nero is to use UDF 2.50 as picture below. If you already done that, I guess you need to elaborate/explain to us more about the problem.

Welcome to cdfreaks, trafacanta.
I have merged your threads (again), since they are the same problem please post here instead of creating new threads. It's easier for us to track your problem. Thanks!

So you're saying that with your VC-1 movie, you got video but no audio? Ok let me ask some questions:
- What type of audio streams included in the m2ts/ts file (PCM, DTS, or DD)?
- Are you making a m2ts, ts, or blu-ray from tsremux?
- Are you burning the movie to DVD/Blu-ray media or trying to play the ts files via usb stick?

In any case, I have tried remuxing a few minutes of VC-1 video streams with Dolby Digital audio stream (2001 Space Odyssey) and it works fine on PS3. It was burned on DVD media.

If I'm not mistaken, in my experiece the PS3 can't play a ts/m2ts file with DTS in the first track so you will need to choose another audio stream (ie Dolby Digital). However if you demux the movie to blu-ray in tsremux with DTS and burn on a disc, and it will play fine.

Please let us know!

Re: Blu-Ray/PS3/TS Remux problems... please help

This is what I though it would be.

TsRemux to "Blu-ray" option.

In Nero

Select Blu-ray Disc
UDF partiton type - Phyiscal Partition
File System Ver - UDF 2.50

Drop the BDMV and CERTIFICATE directories into compilation.

Burn

Unfortunately I don't have a PS3 to test the theory.
