| BD-ROM/DVD-RW drive I want to buy a BD-ROM/DVD-RW drive but since there's so many combinations possible I've kinda lost track of which brands sell which kind of drives. There's Blu-Ray readers, Blu-Ray writers, Blu-Ray/HD-DVD readers/DVD Writers. How many BD-ROM/DVD-RW writers are outthere? I know the Pioneer BDC-S02 but that's about it. Searching for this is also pretty confusing because of the many possible combinations.

| Re: BD-ROM/DVD-RW drive OK thanks for the replies. Like you said BD-ROM/DVD-RW can't write Blu-Ray but I'm not really interested in writing. I just want a combo drive that can play Blu-Ray movies and write DVDs and CDs. The price difference is still pretty big so I'm surprised there's only so little to choose from. But perhaps that's gonna change now that Blu-Ray seems to be the winner of the HD competition.
