| Output File Size Hello, My name is Gary and am new to ImTOO DVD Ripper Platinum. My goal is to rip a DVD to AVI (watch on computer), MP4/H.264 (watch on Ipod). I was able to isolate the main title from the DVD to use for conversion. I used: Profile: AVI - Audio-Video Interleaved (*.AVI) Zoom: Keep aspect ratio Split: Infinite Audio: preset/default: English AC3 6ch (0x80) After the red button the conversio takes place and I do get a single .avi file as expected. The problems are: **File size = 2,237,511 Kb which is (2.2 GB) That avi file seems to large compared to other avi files Ive seen before which are less than 1GB. **VideoSynch/Repeat. I notice that the video seems to repeat itself in about 5 second samples only in the beginning of the movie/video/avi file. I hope I am clear and thanks for your help in advance. Peace, GR ![]() |

| Re: Output File Size Well I did some experimenting and was able to get the output avi file to under 1GB. The file size is now: 871663 KB One more problem is that the output video is upside down. see: I have no clue how that happened. Oh yeah ..... The output/,avi file still repeats itself every 5 seconds or so = weird. Thanks .... Peace, GR ![]() |

You could get the smaller file by debase the "video size" and "video bit rate", but it maybe could influence the quality of the file. In addition, about the Synch, you could open "Settings-Preference" and then uncheck the option "Detect Progressive 24Hz" Good luck!

Could you please insert the DVD into your DVD drive and explore it, whether there will be two default folders in it as 'VIDEO_TS' and 'AUDIO_TS'? And the movie are stored as *.vob files under 'VIDEO_TS' as well as *.ifo and *.bup files?
