ImToo DVD Ripper Platinum v4 - Pausing issues with DivX and XviD

I am converting video ripped using AnyDVD as IFO/VOB files on disk to Xvid or DivX using Ripper Platinum v4. I am using the default profiles for Xvid or DivX and the issue I experience is that of ever so slight pausing in the video when playing it back. The pausing continues throughout the entire movie. I have plenty of horsepower, memory etc. (Dual Core, 2GB RAM, 8800GTX. I have successfully converted the same file with same said hardware etc, using AutoGK. Not only does the result look better but there are no pauses. I have tried just about every possible change to the default settings as well to see if it can be corrected with no luck. I was successful with AutoGK but that specific program is not user friendly and I have had issues with audio sync with it and would just prefer to use ImToo.

Any suggestions would be great.

Give me a chance to get acquainted with this program and I will help you. Sometimes Imtoosoft support is here, but I am always here LOL, give me a little time, and I will try to help.

Sorry for delay!

I suggest that you can open "Setting- Preference" and check the option 'Force Progressive 24HZ', maybe that can help you!

Thanks!

Re: ImToo DVD Ripper Platinum v4 - Pausing issues with DivX and XviD

I actually emailed ImToo about this issue in March of 2006. They asked which DVD's I had issues with (I didn't have the issue with all DVD's, only certain ones) and they said they'd look into it.

I went onto other things and hadn't even tried using it again until today. Downloaded the latest version, and same thing, the video stutters ever so slightly during playback.

Help would be way, way appreciated.

dear namnori,

Maybe you can try to set the video bit rate a little lower, decrease to 700.
