| Hitachi 7K400 HDD http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/akiba....html#e6ha_408 A little over US$400. Cost per GB is 117.5 Yen. Maxtor DiamondMax 16 160GB has 54.6 Yen cost per GB, the lowest yet.

| Re: Hitachi 7K400 HDD I prefer P80 to WD1600LB/BB, but I wish there were P120 and P160 now with capacity of 800GB and 1TB.  A little more expensive than Maxtor DiamondMax 16 160GB which runs at 5,400-RPM and also a little more expensive than Westen Digital Caviar 1600BB 160GB, 7.2K RPM with 2MB buffer.
