Well, Draggles is keeping his mouth shut whether it's him or not ...so all I can say is, either it is our fiery moderator, or someone's taking their life in their hands pinching his name

Folding dragons? What will they think of next?!

I have asked Draggles and DratMustard if they know anything about this, and apparently they are both innocent or both guilty or just busy munching on some cake...

Welcome Drage!
Comon, fireup those quad cores so we can pass rank 500! We've been in rank 512ish for weeks now.

Welcome marcus!

So you're going to fold on your FX60? Use the SMP clients (Win or Linux) as you will be able to fold more advanced projects and generate more points.

Re: Folding@Home New Member Introductions and Welcomes

Very nice! Interesting to see how fast your quad xeon is. I think crossg's Q6600 was doing around 6 mins per 1% of the Windows SMP projects, on average.

Awww rats. Try running two copies of the console version (run from different folders I think, there may be other settings you need to alter, I wouldn't know 'cos I use the SMP client).

Edit: hahaha what are your temps for the Pentium D (and what speed is the CPU), out od curiosity?

Re: Folding@Home New Member Introductions and Welcomes

What do you mean by crashed? If it's Early End Unit after a few %, might be that your OC is not stable.

LOL...my PD is just about an acceptable temp with the cooling I got with the PC. If they get really bad I'll change the cooler, but for now I can't be arsed LOL

Edit: Good point Zevia - a few more details wouldn't go amiss

But the thing is, F@H will stress your CPU like not many other benchmark proggies will, so it's ideal for picking up instablility which under any other circumstances would have gone unnoticed.
