Re: Folding@Home Milestones, Statistics and Member Achievements

Thanks
Maybe i'll rest PC2 for a couple of days. The poor thing isn't very well ventilated and with us at last getting some decent weather, it's been running rather hot today.

PC1 will probably send another WU tonight though.

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear. - Stephen King, intro to "The Body."

"You're going to go through tough times. We all are. It's how you respond to them that counts. It's how you get back up. You're going to get knocked down. It's whether you stay down or whether you get back up and fight that counts." - Cancer survivor and Tennessee guard Chris Lofton.

Awww, thanks jwill

My C2D seems to take folding in its stride. Left it folding for two days straight to "burn it in" and it hasn't broken a sweat (yet)

Re: Folding@Home Milestones, Statistics and Member Achievements

Well done Arachne
Pity that board won't allow a O/C.
I clocked my mates E4300 to 2.2GHz with stock cooling then she got an Artic Freezer 7 Pro and it's at present running at 2.5GHz with ease. It's also stable at that speed on a very cheap m/board.

Yeah, that's my one beef with this machine. A very OC'able CPU and no way to OC it!

That's a good point jwill, so there may be hope for me after all

Thanks Zevia - I will be when I have somewhere to plug the second machine in, a bigger desk (or two smaller ones) are next on my shopping list, along with a second monitor

Arachne, if you don't use the other computer that much, how about just using a KVM switch? So you will be able to use both PCs with 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, and one monitor, also 1 desk!

For example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817107702
