Re: Folding@Home Milestones, Statistics and Member Achievements

I must confess, I've been trying the Windows SMP fah client on the 3 Duel core PC's.
Not one of them has submitted a WU in the 4 days ...
The Turion X2 1.8Ghz is up to 4% after 4 days (on approx 20hrs/day)
The Work beast AM2 X2 3800 is up to 37% (on 24hrs) after 4 days.
*edit* i was wrong .. it submitted a Windows SMP WU apparently a few hours ago (by the logs). But the client reports that it's 2am in the morning atm .... I swear it's just past lunchtime

My home PC .. bah, I'm going back to the linux client.

And the deadline is 4 days for these SMP WU's?
I feel that the Windows SMP client requires some ... well, major reconstructive surgery.
It's absolutely pathetic

yeah, I haven't been running SMP for a couple weeks now, I've been worried about temps as they've been knocking on 60c in windoze, and the only temp I've been able to read in linux is the chipset. I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and order a tuniq tower, even though thats a pretty big chunk of change for a HSF, it'll be worth it I guess

Re: Folding@Home Milestones, Statistics and Member Achievements

the team is top 800 now
that means EOC has started tracking individual user stats

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...php?s=&t=13505

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...php?s=&t=13505

the numbers are a little screwy right now because it only has a day or so of data, but it should level off in a week or two

Yes we are now ranking 640-ish together with the bigger teams. Hence we are climbing very slow (1 rank per day). Nevertheless nice team work!

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear. - Stephen King, intro to "The Body."

"You're going to go through tough times. We all are. It's how you respond to them that counts. It's how you get back up. You're going to get knocked down. It's whether you stay down or whether you get back up and fight that counts." - Cancer survivor and Tennessee guard Chris Lofton.
