Re: Folding@Home

I have 4 machines running full time:

1. P3 900Mhz Lappy
2. P3 933Mhz
3. P4 1.7 Ghz
4. P4 1.7 Ghz

My biggest hurdle is that these machines are all sneakernetted @ work so if they finish their WUs then I have connected up to my networked computer to get more work.

I was looking at the stats. Seems we are finally amongst teams that are still going.

Re: Folding@Home

Lol
Lots of teams are still going ... but only CDfreaks has hardcore loons with 11 CPU's
Except one nutcase in (i think) extremeOCau where one bloke has a Computer with 32 CPU's ..... Note the lack of "Personal" before the Computer.

Of course, I'm curious what Zevia's running to score in 24 hrs the sum of points of both mine & CCbads

You got a quad core under the hood?

jwill427 is right on. My points come from my lowly C2D E6400. I'm thinking about quad core though.

haha, I was J/K when I said "lowly fx-60" it fits tho since all the amd DCs get pwned by C2Ds on the smp client... at least amds still pwn all the netburst DCs

c2q would be awesome at one point I almost went for an 8 core rig because I could get 1.6ghz xeon quads for $300 each , but the $400 mobo, $400 ram, and a new full tower case kinda killed it for me

Way to go Womble,

I have switched over a couple rigs from WCG so that I can keep up with you guys. Also it was boring being all alone over there.

Hmm, I show you as at #11 1680 points behind JBT_DK in the 10th position, though you've passed me dad gum it! lol Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to pass you back.

I see. Strangely enough, jhtalisman's results aren't listed on that one. I wonder why that is? In fact, it only lists 12 team members while the F@H one on Stanford's servers show 19 of us. Anyone have any clue?

Re: Folding@Home

According to the stats, I will be #2 in 30 days.
jwill, aren't you going to catch me up?

I thought Womble supposed to be #10 in a few days but it looks like JD and adict2jane wont let that happen.

I'll take that as the gauntlet being thrown down

I probably won't be able to pull it off, but I'll give it a go (I lost a ton of ground to you last week cuz I didn't run SMP very much)

...lets see...I could OC teh fx-60, put windoze on teh 3700 and OC it (single core FAH runs ~20% faster in xp compared to linux ) and I could see what clockgen can do for my P4 (no OC options in bios )

Re: Folding@Home

good work team! we shattered the 100k goal for Feb and got nearly 150K!!!!!!!!!!
I think 200k is possible for March

but we really need to rally the troops and step up production and get some new members to hold of the Ford Truck Enthusiasts team (oh the irony )
