Folding Update:

25k total points for the team, and we are closing in on the top 5k spot! (we broke the top 10k a mere week ago )

still only 10 members have contributed though (out of 266,670 CD Freaks ) we need to spread the word! I submited a news article about the team, but it wasn't posted

Probably only temporary as my machines are both taking the weekend off.

My 2nd rig will not be doing anything until I find it a better work enviroment. It was complaining it was too hot. I agree, it was pretty warm to the touch.

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear. - Stephen King, intro to "The Body."

"You're going to go through tough times. We all are. It's how you respond to them that counts. It's how you get back up. You're going to get knocked down. It's whether you stay down or whether you get back up and fight that counts." - Cancer survivor and Tennessee guard Chris Lofton.

Who, Moi?
I don't have that many CPU's going
Have you had a look at CCbadd's CPU lineup?
Mine are all just low speed CPU's ... low-range amd xp's & classic (non-HT) pentium 4's, except my personal work machine & home machine which operate mutually exclusively (aka, one at a time).

Damn, I need an X1900/X1950 so I can get the funky 660/day WU's running on the GPU client

WooHoo, just finished a 716 pointer. Kind of makes up for the couple of dead ones that I had.

One more of those and I will be on-top of Arachne instead of under her all of the time.

Zevia has done some 10,000+ points in the past 7days. I thought I was doing well with 1,300.

@ Womble

Right click on your F@H icon and go to status/team stats. From that page, you can click on each person's name in the list and it will tell you how many CPU's they've had working in the past 7 and past 50 days.

zevia's had 4 running in the past 7 days, and as many as 13 in the past 50 days!

Compared to Debro and ccbadd, it's nothing. Debro is running 18/15 processors in the past 50/7 days. ccbadd is running 11/9 processors.

Currently I'm only running 4 PCs at home which all are usually on 24/7.
My main PC C2D E6400 @3.2Ghz: 1 console
Wife PC P4 3Ghz: 1 console (FAH504)
Son PC P4 3Ghz: 1 console (FAH504)
Server PIII 1Ghz: 1 console (FAH504)

So yeah now total only 4 processors. Previously wife and son's PCs were runing dual consoles with 100% load but decided to downgrade to one console each.

It's lying. I'm only running 11 CPU's ... 3 are dual core (with two clients), 3 are pentium 4 HT's (with two clients), and one has been retired & palmed off to someone else.

Re: Folding@Home

I've been running 4 CPUs 24/7:

1.4 GHz P4
2.8 GHz P4
1.86 GHz PM
2.8 Ghz Opteron 144 (Oc'd from 1.8)
I'd run a mobile centrino laptop, too, but that poor thing runs hot enough idle...

Womble, how are you figuring points per day? Is there a built-in feature, or are you closely monitoring team points yourself?
