See above, 27 minutes for me. Now you said 12 minutes (on your C2D?), that doesn't feel so bad since mine is an older CPU

Edit: I gotta say this fan is doing my head in though at max even if the temp is stable @ 54C (probably that's a few degrees more than what it really is since Everest is slightly off). Might take it down a notch.

27x 100% = 2700 mins / 60 = 45 hours ~ 2 days.
Pretty fast for a Pentium D.
I believe due date for SMP Projects is 4 days.

Thankyou Zevi, now I feel much better

However...my PC's only on ~12 hours a day...so that might muck things up :S (or I might just scrape in by the skin of my teeth LOL)

@rolling - not yet

Edit: whew...turned the fan down by 20%, not so loud now ...temps only up by 2C.

It started where I left off when I logged back into Windows as well

Re: Folding@Home

Well, I've backed up the folder each time I've shut down the client (about 5 times), but (fingers crossed) I haven;t needed it yet, it's always picked up where it left off

I don't think you need to worry. This is what I was talking about when backing up the folders. I am overclocked but trying to lower my CPU voltage. If I go to low I get the error below which just happened. So now I can copy the files from the backed up folder and continue instead of losing the work already done. The only time I have seen this is an unstable overclock. Which I do quite often.

Ouch! Thank God for backups

My PC just locked up (installed a new media player which froze it completely), and I had to hit the reset button.

I was pleasantly surprised to find, yet again, it started where I left off

I have 3 C2Ds plus Pentium D 2.66Ghz running either FAH or WCG, so total 4 PCs.

This morning I checked my stats 7615 points in a day equal to 5 PCs running SMPs! So thanks to whoever sent me their points, it's all for the team and good cause.

Nice! And I can take a good guess at who that was

It is for a good cause, and it's great that we can have fun doing it
