| Re: Folding@Home Oh doh. sorry. But I did get a WU this morning or around 11:45AM on the 171.64.65.64 server time. Maybe some of their servers are down? I had that problem a while back but cleaning up the FAH folder usualy fix the problem, maybe restarting FAH will get you a new server address that works? (cleaned "work" directory etc and leave client.cfg and FAH-console.exe). Btw, I failed to meet the deadline in my lowly Pentium D 2.66Ghz with this SMP project 2610. I didn't know that the console was closed so the PC didn't fold for a day. | Re: Folding@Home Well, shortly after I posted, I managed to snag a small one. Should take a couple of hours, we'll see how long getting one after that takes. As mentioned, sending was fine, it was just trying to get a new WU that had problems, it was trying last night and this afternoon too til I managed to get the one I'm on now. ![]()

| Re: Folding@Home I haven't been folding at all for weeks. I got real pissed at the Windows client and i've been fooling around with several Linux distro's trying to find one i really like. Running a distro in a Virtual Machine wasn't really an option under Vista Home Premium 64 bit. But now i have a Vista stable version of VMWare things are looking good. Now if only CD-Speed and KProbe would run under Linux. I could dump Windows for good and wouldn't have to use VMWare at all.

| Re: Folding@Home how didn't i think of that ... that should mean we have to talk to Erik Deppe, hoping that he can start working something out for Linux ... anyway, i'm totally naive if you ask me about programming, but i remember that there were some cross-platform programming language... that could be compiled according to the target OS... lets hope Deppe uses one of these ... as if it does exist in the first place... ![]()
