I can using the GUI client. But then aren't you using the SMP one...in which case I don't know.

GUI won't work with my vid card.

Anyone else know?

Also can you close out F@H and restart what you were working on? Say if you need to restart your machine?

I think it depends on how complex the WU is your folding. 4% seems about right. The WU's i've folded so far take between 10 minutes 30 seconds to just under 15 minutes per 1%.

Yes you can! There are some of my burns (ie create disc) where they show 100% CPU in CDSpeed because I didn't close FAH. But it burns fine, quality scan normal.

Re: Folding@Home

i had a WU end early the other night, but it says in the log that it could be normal behavior on certain projects assuming it doesn't happen with all WUs.

have you checked your log to see if it says anything about it?

i'm a complete noob to this as well so I have no idea if i'm directing you to the right place so waste your time on my advice at your own risk

clearing the cache shouldn't get rid of your work history, there is a work folder in your FAH directory, this is where all the work files are stored

an occasional EUE is normal, but if it happens regularly it could indicate hardware problems or software conflicts. the most common cause of hardware related EUEs is bad ram, which can be tested for with memtest86. another common cause is cpu overheating or instability due to overclocking and/or insufficient power supply. software wise I know Cisco VPN client will cause EUEs, but I'm not sure about any others
