Thanks for the info, that rig will definitely generate some serious results!

It looks like your PSU is a quality one as it is 80+ certified. As far as the video card, yeah, definitely an ATI based card unless they got the company right but the model wrong.

Hope it doesn't take too long to show up and it serves you well at your new job.

well, if you check my edit in my last post... i found later it was a Intel 3100 Graphics card... which sucks
i mailed the supplier (which is the HP Suppliers for the UAE!!! maaan!! they really ache!!!), and they told me they can add a Nvidia 8500GT 512MB... which sucks as hell!!! out of all the good ones out there they've chosen one of the few 400MHz DDR2 cards in the market!!! i told them i want an Nvidia 8600GT, 8400M GT or even 7900 or something!!! they all come with DDR3, they seem like they've never heard of ATI!! but i might have to accept the 8500 cause, if i don't, it might take over a month to get a new rig!!!

day after day, the IT scene here gets clearer for me, it's purely a consumer-blind market! neither the customer nor the retailer know anything about computer!!! for instance, all around the UAE you can find nothing else than Imation, SONY or Verbatim (DVD+Rs and MIT CDs) products... maan!!! it's a pre-built PC market! you can never customize anything! It is HELL for a CDFreak!!!


Sorry for being OT ... but i'm just tired of this ... i miss that humble PC market in Syria... you could find everything and anything in there!!! LITERALLY!!

i should've waited before declaring my comeback .... it's gonna take a while i guess

well, let's say, nothing goes smoothly around this place, only money... and it never comes back
the rig was ordered yesterday, without the requested changes, i.e. i'm getting a sucky Intel 3100 for Graphics ... but the guys promised they'll get another card from another supplier and add it in... later

all i can do now is sit and wait
