| Tunebite, Accelerated Dubbing & Vista Is this supported? I am testing Tunebite (latest) under Vista, but I cannot get video conversion at greater than x1 realtime. When it scans for acceleration slots, it claims to have 9 compatible slots but I cant get conversion faster than x1. Is there something I have to set somewhere? If the digital driver doesn't support accelerated conversion under Vista, why is it installed at all? Thanks NigelS PS Would also like to know - the Pixie Codec pack that is installed seems to duplicate the ffdshow and matroska splitter that I already had installed on my PC. Can Tunebite work with my already installed packages and not install Pixie at all? I am worried that by installing a duplicate set of *.ax codecs this may have broken other programs on my PC which were happy using the already existing ffdshow package. |

| Re: Tunebite, Accelerated Dubbing & Vista Hi, Thanks for turning to us with this problem. So, regarding your first problem: HSD is recognized and it's also fully operational under VISTA. Only because of the high PC resources usage of the OS Tunebite needs to block the recording speed on to 1x in order to bring out the promissed quality so in DRM protected video's case, the recording can go only 1x rec speed / 1x recording slots. In case of unprotected fideo formats, the latest version of Tunebite will allow user to simultaniously convert up to 9 videos at the same time (if the PC performance allows it). Our developer team is constantly improving our products and one of the goals is to achieve higher speeds unde VISTA operational systems starting with the next version of Tunebite ![]() 2. Normaly, our Pixie codec Pack will be installed by default , but in case the user already has a present codec installed, it should not affect the playback of the video files... infact you can keep the ffdshow from Matrsoka and try out Tunebite and see the output... FFDshow version could be different but the procedures are still the same... so it shouldn't create any serious problems...

| Re: Tunebite, Accelerated Dubbing & Vista Thanks for your response. I will watch future version feature sets with interest. Regarding the Pixie pack, perhaps you could consider making this as an optional install for advanced users, so that it's installation can be avoided altogether where advanced users know that the required codecs are already installed. Thanks NigelS |
