Yahoo Music and Rhapsody updates

Well I guess they've finally filled all the holes with these two services. No more actual downloading the DRM-d files. It looks like your library is now maintained online and via stream only.

Oh well.

Re: Yahoo Music and Rhapsody updates

I have used both services and in the past you were able to download the DRM'd WMA files to your hard drive.

Yahoo had a major update several months ago and I have not been able to download a DRM'd file since. Rhapsody just put out a similar update.

You can still download an actual file when you purchase it.

Re: Yahoo Music and Rhapsody updates

I see what they're doing now. Used to when you added a file to your library it automatically downloaded the WMA to your PC. Now you have to right click on the file and then download it. Plus, now they've changed the format to a DRM'd RAX file.

Re: Yahoo Music and Rhapsody updates

I just tried the same thing with Yahoo and when you right click on your "stream subscription" you can choose to convert the bookmark to a download and it'll download the DRM'd wma to your hard drive like before.

That's what I get for not diggin' a little more.

Sorry.

I've been a user of Comcast Rhapsody for a few years and several months back I up'd to Rhapsody to Go. Rhapsody just came out with version 4.0. They just made the filling of you mp3 player easier. You just drag and drop the title to your player and it downloads to the player, without having to download the song to your pc, then transfering it over. You can do this with song or album. You can still download the song to your pc, but unless your doing the Tunebite thing there is no reason to.
