| Re: Waht Is Your Opinion About Epson R380 I bought an R380 a few months ago. I also have an HP 5180, Canon MP600, and Canon IP4300. It depends on your usage. If you do alot of printing every day then the Epson may be ok. My R380 seems like the printhead needs cleaning if you don't use it at least every couple of days. It uses a ton of ink when cleaning also. I had to do a deep cleaning and it used 1/3 of the ink. The print quality is ok, but is no better than the Canons or HP. I used the comp. ink cartridges from Rima and Supermediastore in the Epson and it worked fine. I think the Canons are a better printer overall. The cd/dvd tray I got for the disc printing in the Canon is much better and heavier made than the Epson. I haven't used all of the ink in the Canons yet so I can't speak for their ink consumption. The HP uses half the ink the Epson does though. This is my first Epson and will be my last unless they decrease their ink consumption. I have it boxed up I dislike it so much. |

| Re: Waht Is Your Opinion About Epson R380 I have an R380 and am quite pleased with it. The hi-def claria ink is nice but very expensive if you do a lot of printing, so I purchased a CIS ink system for it which saves a lot of money on ink. Overall a very good printer. PROS: -Professional print results on discs -Lab quality photo prints -Out of box capability to print directly on disc. -Fast print speeds -Easy to install/setup -Low price Cons -OEM ink cartridges expensive -Large desk footprint |
