Lightscribe Printing Problem

Hi All

Please can someone help. I have been using lightscibe for awhile now but all of a sudden I have a problem which is frustrating me to no end.

I am using Nero 7.8.5.0. All goes well with my labelling, my drives are recognised as Lightscirbe, but when I select print, nero immediately tells me the print is complete and ejects the disc. This happens within seconds of trying to print the label, but the disc is totally blank.

The Lightscibe Quick Disc Labeller works fine, but I am wanting to add a little more info to my discs.

I am using BengQ 1655 drives, with no problem up till now.

Have reinstalled Nero, Lightscribe software (latest 1.6.43) with no luck.

Any suggestions before I have wasted all my Lightscribe HP discs.

Thanks

Re: Lightscribe Printing Problem

I know exactly the kind of problem you are having, and I think it has something to do with the size/position of images/objects on the layout. I also use Nero7, and I've had the same blank resulting CD's/DVD's on quite a few occasions, but I noticed that if I didn't have images/objects overlapping, and if they weren't too large, I'd be able to get the label to burn. I tried a layout with a background, and 2 objects in which 1 of the objects was overlapping part of the background, and after 4 failed burns, I tried another approach. I had to rearrange the objects, but I got it to work. I had 5 objects scattered all over the CD, but I placed them in areas where they weren't overlapping anything. Lo and behold, my HP 1040d pumped it out in the usual 25min after that, and in good quality too. Gotta love technology
